Sure, there were doubters when Marie Bookout, 91, returned a volley against Harriett Russo, 90, Monday at Sebastian Lakes tennis courts. The fact that Bookout uses a cane to maneuver and Russo, a walker, doesn’t stop these lively ladies from getting out and having a good time, said their younger friend, Jane Wood, 81, also of Sebastian Lakes. “They can do it,” Wood said as she cheered on court action. No winner was declared in the match because too much “love” was in the air, Wood said with a smile as she snapped a photo of her feisty friends. “We’re a good advertisement for Florida because we’re people out doing things.”
